Lizzies Bench

Based on an observation taken from the top of the monument hill. This mural is dedicated to my late cousin Elizabeth, who tragically passed away after losing her battle with cancer at age 29. This mural was installed with a scissor lift over a very hot weekend in early 2019.

I have been painting murals and working in the arts for the past 10 years. Over this time, I have completed numerous jobs requiring a range of specifications. This work includes government-funded projects, with school workshops by Fremantle FastTrack (see images 1 & 2), corporate projects, such as UDLA, and their Byford Watertank Project, designed by Connie Clintch (see image 3). Others were commissioned by council-run initiatives, private strata and small businesses. My own art practice has led me to work alongside artistic directors for festivals (5), realising their concepts and turning them into something tangible within a provided scope and budget.

I have provided individuals with art tuition and completed numerous commissioned works with both fixed and open briefs (see images 6 - 10). This has resulted in two residencies and one solo exhibition over the past two years (see posters below).

I consider myself well trained, not only in a university environment but also by having a considerable amount of field experience, as well as developed interpersonal and administrative skills. I offer creative dexterity in my work has explored many different avenues within the creative realm, such as a background in drafting/engineering, certificates in design and illustration and, in more recent years, an Advanced Diploma in Stage Design and Set Building.

Regardless of the job at hand, there’s a commonality in all the work I do, which is seeing an idea through to the end. My business is goal-focused and project-orientated. I pride myself on meeting deadlines and working within the parameters defined by the client. I provide a high-quality product whilst keeping within occupational health and safety practices.
