Dry Season in Broome WA

A Tale of Belonging & Purpose: Unveiling our Mural!

Roebuck Primary School's incredible teachers embarked on a journey of self-discovery, enhancing their sense of belonging as individuals and educators.

I had the privilege to lead an inspiring workshop, delving into their connections with Broome's charm both at home and within the school's embrace.

From their heartfelt stories emerged a vibrant mural, capturing Broome's scenic beauty, cultural richness, and stunning coastlines.

But the magic didn't end there! Teachers turned artists helped with painting this mural as I facilitated a paint by number activity for all to get involved.

A big thanks to Principal Shem, Micaley, and the entire Roebuck team for making this creative journey possible.

Hi, my name is Aisha pronounced Aye-sha and I have been passionate about all things art and creativity since I could hold a pencil. I started painting professionally and selling my art in high school. From there, I ran my art business casually on the side of all of my endeavours, including an arts degree and a health degree. After my health degree, I worked as a social worker and combined my skills in art and therapy to deliver mental health wellbeing counselling and workshops. In 2022 and after many years of working in the mental health field, I decided to go full-time with my art business. I predominately paint bright and colourful large-scale paintings and murals and occasionally facilitate art workshops. I am extremely passionate about the power of art as a source of therapy. Whether you are involved in the artistic process or get the pleasure of witnessing the magic.
