Embracing Motherhood in the East Kimberley

Introducing the second and final mural for Broome Hospital's maternity ward courtyards!

This artwork pays tribute to the families embarking on the miracle of birth. This captivating artwork transforms the once blank walls into an immersive escape of East Kimberley scenery, featuring symbols of life’s miracles.

In recognising the often-daunting nature of hospitals and labour, I thank the nurses and staff for commissioning not only my murals but other artwork from a range of local artists and providing a space where mothers and families can find solace and be reminded of the incredible journey they are about to embark on.

I am truly grateful to be a part of such a beautiful project and gift.

Aisha's Art

Hi, my name is Aisha pronounced Aye-sha and I have been passionate about all things art and creativity since I could hold a pencil. I started painting professionally and selling my art in high school. From there, I ran my art business casually on the side of all of my endeavours, including an arts degree and a health degree. After my health degree, I worked as a social worker and combined my skills in art and therapy to deliver mental health wellbeing counselling and workshops. In 2022 and after many years of working in the mental health field, I decided to go full-time with my art business. I predominately paint bright and colourful large-scale paintings and murals and occasionally facilitate art workshops. I am extremely passionate about the power of art as a source of therapy. Whether you are involved in the artistic process or get the pleasure of witnessing the magic.
