Caversham Valley Primary School

Artist team: Nicola Cowie and Kat Ferguson 2022 Caversham Valley PS exterior floor mural on brushed concrete. 300 sqm Funded by Dept of Local Gov, Sport and Culture Creative Communities Grant and Lotterywest

The client brief was to work with the students and wider school community over a four-week in-class residency to create a mural that reflected their connection to nature and the multicultural student body

Working with college students created imagery relevant to the project. After working with the whole school body, a final image was created using the student's artwork. This image was painted on the concrete area in front of the school's assembly area to be enjoyed by the students on a daily basis and visitors and families during assemblies.
